Main Library’s Adult Programming Assistant Beth introduces a conversation between Jacksonville-based artist, curator, and activist Shawana Brooks and Flagler College’s Crisp Ellert Art Museum (CEAM) Director Julie Dickover. The conversation will address Brooks’ own literary practice, how she harnesses the use of language within her curatorial and community programming, and more broadly how art and language play a pivotal role in community building, and navigating issues of social justice and equity.
