This is a section of a document describing the closing exercises. It also provides information about the school's history.
"Beginning with 20 children, the number [of students at the school] had increased to about 60 by February 17, 1867"; at this time, the school was still named "St. Joseph Convent School" ("Closing Exercises," p. 2).

"The new ST. CECILIA'S SCHOOL was erected in 1898 at the cost of $7,500, five thousand of which was donated by Mother Katherine Drexel" ("Closing Exercises," p. 3).
