On the back of the photograph, there is a name and address, which reads: "Arguta (or possibly Nguta) Stokes 552 S. Franklin St. Rocky Mount, N.C. We believe this is the subject or possibly the recipient of this photograph. There is also a stamp that reads: "Nevr-Fade Panel Art Prints Reg. Nov 1 1938 Photo Art Co., Inc. Trenton, N.J.
This image was part of the Preston Family Archives within our collection, who lived in Lincolnville. Their items were donated by someone who bought their house and discovered the artifacts when they were remodeling.
