Title

John Claudius L'Engle

Description

On September 1, 1832, John C. L’Engle transferred six enslaved people to David R. Dunham and Louisa Fatio.  Their names were Dick, Amy, Rachel, Lucretia, Black John and Moulato John. Miss Fatio did not owned the Ximenez-Fatio House yet, but the document illustrated that she was a slave owner. The document made the enslaved people real because their names were used.
